Monday, Feb. 22 at 7 pm: Body Positive Yoga with Peggy Whisler

Join us for another practice of Yoga with Peg Whisler on Monday, February 22 at 7pm.  The focus of this class will be to empower us all with encouragement of body positivity through slow movements, breath, and focused attention.  The movement for this class will be gentle in nature and we will use a more Restorative Yoga approach.   For this class, we will come to poses using support for our bodies like pillows, cushions, blocks, and blankets.  The poses are held long enough to allow your body to become still and to allow for your parasympathetic nervous system to become activated. This is the part of our nervous system that allows for Rest and Digestion which happens when we can slow our minds, breath and bodies.  No experience is needed as yoga is for everyone in everybody!!  Strongly encouraged for this class:  firm pillows or cushions (2), 2 -3 blankets, yoga blocks (if you have them), and an eye mask/pillow.

Tuesday Feb 23 at 7 pm: Eating Disorders in Marginalized Communities and Social Justice 101 with Kimmie Singh
